Philanthropy Assistant

The Philanthropy Assistant will serve a vital supportive role in helping to achieve the fundraising goals of Mystic Seaport MuseumWorking with the Fundraising team, the Philanthropy Assistant will partner with the team to operate efficiently in its efforts to raise philanthropic support for the Museum's missionThe Philanthropic Associate will also have a unique career development opportunity to gain experience in fundraising at a large and highly impactful non-profit organization
Essential Functions:
This Philanthropy Assistant will:
Assist in developing materials for use in identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors and prospects Assist in scheduling internal and external appointments and meetings Reserve and prepare conference rooms and order refreshments for meetings and donor visits Make local, national, and/or international travel arrangements for team members as needed Maintain constituent information in donor database Develop proficiency in donor database, with the ability to run reports and queriesMay serve as resource and provide training to other administrative staff Provide general office support including answering phone, greeting and directing department guests, and providing other basic administrative help as necessary Manage and track invoices and payments Assist in organizing fundraising events Assist supervisor with special projects Some evenings and weekends as needed RequirementsRequirements:
Proficiency in MS Office Suite Strong attention to detail Strong organizational, multi-tasking, writing, and time-management skills Experience in a busy office environment Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills Experience with database management High School Diploma or GED Salary Description $35,000 - $45,000 annually Recommended Skills Administration Attention To Detail Communication Databases Fundraising Interpersonal Skills Apply to this job.
